This work explores the emotions of end-of-life suffering, family conflict, and the tension between struggling to life and accepting death. A broken mark of an elderly man symbolizes the physical and emotional deterioration of a dying patient, while the wall dividing life and death—serves as a metaphorical boundary. Tangled IV tubes, uncolored ceramics resembling funerary goods, and slips of paper with sentence phrases express the struggles of an unconscious patient and the family. Dynamic elements, like mixing IV fluids, evoke the slow fading of life. Blending abstraction and symbolism, the work invites audiences to reflect on their own choices when faced with similar situations.
