Where Am I Now?

In this project, a simple sculpture of a contemplative figure reflects the personal struggle between individual desire and societal conformity. The figure, with a progressively darker body and a white head, symbolizes the tension between the soul’s freedom and the constraints imposed by social norms. While the white head signifies the opportunity for independent thought, the figure’s body represents the influence of external forces. This work encourages viewers to reflect on their own position within society, questioning their alignment with collective values. However, the abstract nature of the sculpture leaves too much open for interpretation, potentially diluting its impact on the audience.
